Lead-free Ball Valve for hot water up to 90 °C  –  standard and vandal-proof

With the Polymer Ball Valve A. u. K. Müller emphasises its portfolio in terms of future-proofing for drinking water and heating installations. The manually operated valve combines lead-free materials, hot water resistance up to 90 °C and a vandal-proof lock function – whilst functionality is confirmed based on DIN EN 13828.

On the safe side, when it comes to regulations: lead-free performance

Against the backdrop of stricter material requirements in drinking water installations, lead-free components are becoming increasingly important. The ball valve entirely consists of corrosion resistant polymer and is thus already meeting future regulatory requirements. For designers and planners, this means reduced material risks in international projects, more planning certainty at regulatory changes and no restrictions due to metallic materials.

Suitable for hot water up to 90 °C

Although made of polymer, the ball valve is permanently heat-resistant up to 90 °C. This makes it suitable for both domestic hot water systems and technical water circuits in buildings.

The valve guarantees a a tight seal without loss of pressure in the installation that remains in operation.

DIN EN 13828 compliant

The functionality of the ball valve has been confirmed by an accredited testing body. The design complies with the requirements of DIN EN 13828 for manually operated shut-off valves in drinking water systems. The product therefore meets the relevant requirements for use in residential and non-residential buildings, and in public facilities or industrial utility plants.

Vandal-proof or comfortable operation

The ball valve is available with or without hand lever. The operation is made by a standard 8 mm hexagon key or a comfortable hand lever (52.009.200 series) for convenient tool-free use. The design with 8 mm hexagon key from the 52.009.100 series offers benefits in publicly accessible installations, technical centres, as well as in rental and commercial property construction. This allows for convenient, tool-free operation.

A wide range of design options

The polymer ball valve is available in several connection variants and can be integrated into existing distribution or piping systems. To technical purchasers and project planners the ball valve offers a quality, that meets industry standards, and reduced approval risks, through the use of future-proof materials.

Typical applications for the lead-free polymer ball valve

  • Distribution circuits in drinking water systems
  • Maintenance barriers for assemblies
  • Heating and hot water systems
  • Installations with stricter requirements regarding material compliance
