A Century of A. u. K. Müller - Our Company History
A. u. K. Müller looks back on a company history spanning over 100 years and has achieved many milestones during this time. During this time, we have continually reinvented ourselves in order to live up to our reputation as a driver of innovation and to meet the demands of the environment, society and our customers. We have never lost sight of our commitment to excellent product quality. This has enabled us to expand our position as a quality leader in the valves industry over the years.
1946
Move to Düsseldorf-Urdenbach:
Manufacture of equipment for various technical applications
1951
Specialization in the development and manufacture of solenoid valves with a later focus on plastic solenoid valves
1986
“Top address” in Germany for solenoid and control valves – up to 100,000 valve units were produced every month
1996
Move to Düsseldorf Hellerhof to expand production capacity
Production of variants, mostly plastic solenoid valves, special fittings and control devices for fluid technology for switching, dosing, mixing and processing liquids. In addition, numerous variants of complex special valves are manufactured for different ranges of application and customer-built, individual and accurately fitting developments are realized outside of the standardized product range.
1998
IT changeover to a future-proof PPS/ERP system
2003
Market launch of the 1st generation of miniaturised valves (pilot valves) for optimized implementation in increasingly compact geometry specifications of customer applications
2009
Opening of one of the most modern, highly automated tool departments for plastic injection moulds in Germany with sinking and wire eroding, 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines and measuring machines, combined with loading robots and an intelligent job management system for efficient and fully automated single item production.
2010-2012
Expansion and energy retrofitting of production halls for air conditioning, heating, water and sewage systems
2022
Implementation of energy-saving measures such as
- Conversion of the hot water supply from gas burners with permanent storage of hot water using tanks to electric instantaneous water heaters
- Optimization of compressed air generation for plastic injection moulding
- Insulation of plastic injection moulding tools to reduce heat conduction
