Finally, there is a solution for all valve manufacturers who do not want complex mounting contours inside the tap. The new compact valve from A. u. K. Müller from the 50.005.126 series can be easily retrofitted thanks to its 3/8" threaded connections and is thus suitable for a wide range of sanitary applications such as washbasin taps. At the same time, it is extremely economical in terms of energy consumption and can be operated independently of the mains by means of a battery.

Previous solutions, such as globe valves in bistable design were designed with at least a nominal width DN 7 and could only be used with adapters for DN 5 valves. This made the solution too large for many applications. But now everything is different: the new solenoid valve is bistable and has a 3/8" threaded connection on both sides. Its compact dimensions - less than 5 cm in height - make it easy to integrate into any pedestal or under-sink units. With its operating pressure of 0.5 - 10 bar and a Kv value of 9 - 10 l, the servo-controlled solenoid valve of the 50.005.126 series is particularly suitable for sanitary taps.

The new valve series creates more flexibility for sanitary technology, but does not compromise on durability and safety. For example, the valve has passed the durability test according to ASME A112.18.1-2018 with 500,000 operations under laboratory conditions and meets the required standards in terms of pressure surge (according to EN IEC 60730-2-8 and EN 15091 (5 l/min)) and bursting pressure according to EN IEC 60730-2-8.

Thanks to the standardised connection options, there are no limits to the range of applications for this valve. It can be used as a safety valve in a monostable version (optional) with time control, but also as a valve in a sensor-controlled fitting for public areas or laboratories, or even as a valve on a water playground in combination with a piezo pushbutton. The 3/8" thread is just one of many connection variants available on request, including nozzles or PushFits.

Optionally, for electronic control, a choice can be made from various accesories ranging from power supplies to sensors. The new solenoid valve makes the installation of sanitary systems easier, faster and cheaper.
