Servo-Controlled Float Valves

That is why you should go for servo-controlled float valves.

[Translate to English:] servogesteuerte Schwimmerventile

All float valves from A. u. K. Müller are servo-controlled. The advantage: The servo principle allows the float and lever to be much smaller than with conventional directly controlled float valves. This makes A. u. K. Müller float valves predestined for small tanks or confined tank geometries. Due to the smaller float and the possibility of using a plastic lever, the valves are very attractively priced.

Advantage of the servo-principle for float valves

Since with float valves there is always a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet to the tank, servo-controlled float valves can use this pressure difference. If the medium in the tank rises, it lifts the float, which only triggers the pilot function via the lever on the valve. The actual opening and closing of the valve is done by the medium pressure. By using the servo principle, both the float and the lever can be smaller, as the buoyancy can be lower if the valve does not have to close against the media pressure. This means that the lever and float of the float valves from A. u. K. Müller can be made much more compact. They are also suitable for smaller and more complicated tank geometries and are more attractively priced than many direct-controlled float valves.

Proportional behaviour of the servo-controlled float valves

Another advantage of the float valves from A. u. K. Müller is their proportional behaviour. If the level in the tank rises or falls, the media supply does not start or stop abruptly, but reduces or increases proportionally to the level. If the media level rises and lifts the float in the tank, the inflow is throttled in proportion to the position of the float lever. This keeps the fill level constant, reduces the media movement in the tank and avoids pressure surges.
