HyGenic Hygiene Valve DN 5  –
A unique system for the highest hygiene standards

With the new HyGenic hygiene cartridge valve DN 5, A. u. K. Müller presents a valve for the most demanding and sensitive hygiene sectors.

The new A. u. K. Müller HyGenic hygiene valve sets new standards in the field of preventing germ formation within a valve. To multiply, germs need volumes that are flushed little or not at all. The patented volume control prevents exactly this. Sufficient flushing of the valve is always ensured, even if the water withdrawal is only short or the amount of water withdrawn is only small. This is made possible by the design-optimised control waterways.

The essentials in brief

  • HyGenic hygiene valve offers up to 10x less germ formation due to its patented volume flow rate  control
  • Suitable for thermal as well as chemical disinfection
  • Backwards compatible with valves of series 50.007.101
  • Reduction of the area in contact with the medium / control volume

2 variants: HyGenic with hygiene advantage or HyGenic MAX for maximum hygiene

The new hygiene valve is available in two versions. The HyGenic hygienic cartridge valve with hygienic advantage is backwards compatible with valves of series 50.007.101 and can be retrofitted in fittings with a corresponding mounting contour.

For the full hygiene advantage, the HyGenic MAX valve is recommended. Since the components in contact with the medium are reduced to a minimum, a new screw-in contour in the fitting is required.

Technical features of the HyGenic hygiene valve

The temperature of the medium can be up to 70° Celsius. For the usual period of thermal disinfection, up to 80° Celsius is possible. The pressure range of 0.5 - 10 bar corresponds to a KV value of 12l/min - the usual value for cartridge valves. The bistable valve is electrically supplied with a nominal voltage of 6V DC. Other nominal voltages can be implemented on request. The HyGenic and HyGenic MAX cartridge valves are also especially suitable for use in battery-operated sanitary fittings.

The HyGenic hygienic valves are available now.

Another hygienic advantage is the use of the IRS.xx sensor system to control the valve without contact. We can also offer a corresponding power supply in the form of plug-in power supply units or battery compartments.
